When she glanced again out the window and saw the stranger throw the beer can out the window, then open the door, panic filled her every muscle. Feeling her heart throbbing in her chest, she reached for the phone and called the only person she knew was her friend.
"Me" started with just a bunch of random questions in my head. Questions about what made a person strong, or weak? And then one day, I began pondering whether or not there are certain types of trauma and the resulting pain that simply cannot heal because they've altered who we are. "Me" is the product of that question, my opinion. What is your opinion?

I admired her, cried for, and laughed
with her. But it wasn't until nearly
the end that I realized that her strength
wasn't the obvious kind but rather the sort of
inner strength that most of us have but never
believe we do. Trauma brings out the strength
in us and tests us to overcome it still able to
enjoy the blessings in life. It was because she
was able to do that that Abrielle became
one of the characters I most cherish.
