Can you think of one year of your life that was the worst one ever, but also maybe the best? I'm ten now and I don't see how this year could get any worse. The thing is, I don't have any good memories of my dad. Actually, that's not all the way true. I have one good memory. But I have way more memories that are really hard to think about. Secrets: the bad memories are secrets. I have lots of those. They are the reason this year isn't so great.
Ash is the reason it is. He is this really awesome storyteller - he knows tons of them! He says I write good too. I don't know. But I do write everything in my story notebook, good and bad. You can read it if you want.

Like me, stories helped Tiffini, the lady who wrote my story down, when she was a kid. Ash told me he knew that she'd write my story down: she's a real storyteller.
